Why buy our wheels?
1.) We make a stainless steel bushing to go between the bearings in our wheels that use two bearings. Our competition does not have a bushing.
WITHOUT THE BUSHING BETWEEN THE BEARINGS IN THE WHEELS THE LOAD IN THE BEARINGS CAN BE MORE THAN TEN TIMES THE LOAD WITHOUT THE BUSHING. THIS IS BECAUSE WHEN THE WHEEL ASSEMBLY IS TIGHTENED DURING INSTALLATION IT PUSHES THE BEARING INNER RACES AXIALLY INWARD AND WITH THE BUSHING, THE LOAD JUST COMPRESSES THE INNER RACES HARMLESSLY AGAINST THE BUSHING. HOWEVER, WITHOUT THE BUSHING, THE LOAD CAUSES A VERY HIGH AXIAL PRE-LOAD ON THE BALL BEARINGS BETWEEN THE INNER AND OUTER RACES THAT THE BEARING WAS NOT DESIGNED FOR (THESE ARE RADIAL LOAD BEARINGS), AND THE BEARINGS WILL NOT LAST NEARLY AS LONG. MOST OF THE OLDER STYLE WHEELS USED A STAMPED BEARING WITH EXTENDED INNER RACES WITH NO NEED FOR A BUSHING, BUT THEY WERE INFERIOR AND ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
WE INSTALL CUSTOM STAINLESS STEEL BUSHINGS ON ALL OF OUR DOUBLE BEARING WHEELS THAT TIGHTEN FOR INSTALLATION.

2.) All of our wheels are made from the same excellent engineering plastic that Total Gym uses in their finest commercial gyms, but not their retail gyms. We also do not use inferior hard rubber material like some of our competition. On smooth rails our wheels will last almost forever because they are not overstressed and they do not take a permanent set over time like rubber can.
3.) We use high quality double shielded machined bearings (sealed on both sides to keep the grease inside)
4.) All of our wheels are made on one of our two precision Hardinge (an American Company) CNC Lathes in Tennessee for consistent dimensions and excellent finish and quality.
5.) We have increased our warrantee on material and workmanship to 7 years because we have had no defects in over 30,000 wheels shipped.

Much better than it ever worked before. Thanks!" He also said, " I love my TG, but it frustrates me that even with the weight it is supposed to
handle (300 lbs) the factory wheels break down very quickly (I haven't even had
mine 1 yr.) I'm sure the price of the replacement wheels scares off some people - too bad there's no easy way for them to test out how great your wheels work before buying, I'm sure you'd sell a lot more." If we ever get big enough to have our own machine shop, we will be able to lower prices.
Improved Roller Wheels with Bearings for Euro Gym®
We have received many requests to upgrade the Euro Gym® Wheel like we did for the Total Gyms®. Our Upgraded Euro Gym® wheels are made of the same materials as all of our other wheels are. They are now available below. We will soon have pictures available, but for now, they look like the original wheel, but the material is super strong Delrin®. Scroll way down to order.
Improved Roller Wheels For Total Gym® 2000 and 3000 If you own a Total Gym® 2000 or 3000 you may
have experienced problems with the roller wheels or the bearings,
which require replacement. The roller wheels can become cratered
or break entirely, and it may be difficult to replace these
parts through the manufacturer (and the manufacturer's parts
would have the same problems.) We can replace your broken
or damaged roller wheels with improved wheels which we have
specially designed not only as replacement parts, but as upgraded,
improved parts. The new roller wheels are machined from solid
engineering plastic and will roll more smoothly, handle more weight without
breaking or cratering, last longer, and may never need replacement.
The roller wheels fit on both the upper and lower wheel assemblies.
We have discovered that there are many bent axle bolts on the Total Gym® 2000 or 3000s. The original axle bolts are a low grade bolt which varies in diameter (and therefore strength) from bolt to bolt. We recommend checking the axles for straightness whenever disassembling the wheel assemblies or if a bent axle is suspected. Bent axles can damage roller wheels, bearings, and guide wheels. An attempt can be made to straighten bent axle bolts. It is advisable to recheck straightness occasionally but regularly on straightened axle bolts to avoid possible damage to the wheels. A bent axle can rebend. Bent axles can be replaced with our new hardened and tempered tool steel axles which are extremely strong and are described on this page. Our new axles do not need to be rechecked on a regular basis.

Why replace your
roller wheels? The
original roller wheel is donut shaped. The contact with the
rail is at a point which supports the total load for that
wheel. The result is a very high stress at that point, which
increases the wear and shortens the life of the wheel. In
addition, for heavier people, the weight concentrated on the
small contact area exceeds the strength of the material. The
wheel forms craters (see example below) as the material
breaks down

Cratering
Our specially designed replacement roller wheel is a round
cylinder shape, like a car tire. The resulting line contact
(instead of point contact) can support much more weight without
over-stressing the material, and the new wheel will last much
longer.
Notice the cross-section views of the original 2000 3000 wheel below and our upgraded wheel. Not only is our material stronger, but the thickness of the sections is much thicker because it is one piece instead of two pieces molded together. When molded together, the materials do not bond, they are captured in place by the geometry of the part. The strength of the wheel is limited by the thickness of the outer layer. smoother rolling when side contact is made. Our guide roller

BEFORE YOU
ORDER HUCK PRODUCTS REPLACEMENT WHEELS FOR TOTAL GYM®2000/3000 IMPORTANT NOTE: A small percentage of the Total Gyms® sold (we believe only some of the infomercials units) had a different style wheel. Please check your wheels before ordering. To determine if you have the infomercial wheels, ignore the wheel color, but notice if the bearing/bushing protrudes about 1/4" outside the wheel.
If your bearing is completely inside the wheel, you do not have the infomercial wheel and you can order the wheels below for the Total Gym® 2000 and 3000 . If you do have the infomercial wheels, your axles and hollow shafts will not fit our wheels, but we have an XL upgrade conversion Kit available to convert your wheel assemblies to our new super strong XL replacement wheels which are much stronger than even the original XL wheels. The kits come with and without axles. If you have the infomercial wheels with the protruding bearing/bushing, you will need a kit with the axles since your axles will not fit. The kits are shown below (keep scrolling down).

Huck Products Improved Roller Wheels For Total Gym® 1000/1100/1500/1700 Club/EX/Pro/Ultra/Platinum/Supra/XLi & others
NO NEED TO PURCHASE A NEW GLIDE-BOARD, OUR WHEELS FIT THE NEWER AND OLDER UNITS We have received many reports of broken or worn out wheels for these models of Total
Gyms®. One customer reported using three sets of the original wheels in only eight months. We have been selling this wheel for about 4 1/2 years and have not heard of even one wheel problem caused by the wheel. We decided to upgrade this wheel by machining it out of solid engineering plastic like our other wheels. It is much stronger than the original wheel. The original wheels are thermoplastic injection molded over a molded insert. The thickness of the outer layer material near the "guide" portion of the Original wheel measures .124" thick where our solid wheel measures .312". The original wheel measures .308" total with the insert, but since the two layers will not bond, the results is not nearly as strong as using a solid material. The engineering plastic is also stronger than the thermoplastic. We use the newer style bearings
and we make a stainless steel bushing to go between the bearings
to protect against side loading the bearings when tightening the wheel assembly at installation and the wheels are simple to install with the included instructions.

Huck Products Improved Roller Wheels For Total Gym® XL and XLS We have recently redesigned the wheel for the Total Gym® XL and XLS. Our wheel is precision machined from engineering plastic just like our other wheels which makes it much stronger than the original wheel. We have also eliminated the radius where the wheel contacts the rail just like we did on the very successful Total Gym 2000/3000 wheels. This provides more contact surface for reduced stress on the wheel and provides thicker sections in the wheel to add strength (see pictures below). The thinner cross-section of the lighter black material on the Original Wheel at the beginning of the "guide " portion is where we have seen these wheels fail. Our wheel is solid and has a thickness at that point of .266" where the original is .109" (even counting the insert, the original measures only .238", but because it is in two separate pieces, it doesn't compare to the .266" on our wheel). The material we use is stronger too. Our wheel is much stronger than the original XL wheel.

XL Conversion Kits
We have kits available to convert any Total Gym® 2000 or 3000 to our new super strong XL replacement wheels. There are kits with and without replacement axles and for two or four wheel assemblies. To convert an "Infomercial" Total Gym® the kits including the replacement axles will be required because the original axle is a different diameter and will not fit in the bearings. We recommend our replacement axles for the "retail" versions because they are much stronger and will take much more punishment without bending, but the original axles will fit just fine.
